Introduction to Electronic Circuit

An electronic circuit is composed of individual electronic components, such as resistors, transistors,
capacitors, inductors and diodes, connected by conductive wires or traces through which electric current can
flow.

But wait...
How does an Electronic Circuit differ from an Electrical Circuit?
For a circuit to be referred to as electronic, rather than electrical, generally at least one active
component must be present.
Active components are those that deliver energy to the circuit. Those are diodes, transistors, Integrated
circuits,etc.

Passive components are capable of storing energy in the form of voltage or current in the circuit.
Those are  inductors, capacitors,etc.

Passive components use some other property to control the signal. As a result, they only require the current
traveling through the connected circuit.

- Resistors impede the flow of electrons without introducing more electricity into the system. Resistors
don't store electrical energy. They rather dissipate (=cause to disappear) it as heat.

- Inductors are capable of storing electrical energy in the form of magnetic energy.

- Capacitors stores energy in the form of an electrostatic field between its plates

The combination of active and passive components and wires allows various simple and complex operations to
be performed. Namely, signal amplifications, computations, and data transfer, among others.
