Application of Algebra in our daily life

Even while you might not record equations and variables every time you come across
one of these scenarios, algebra is still taking place in your mind as you analyze these
real-world circumstances. Therefore, even if the calculations are done in your head, it is
helpful to know how to solve for unknown values or variables.

1.) History of Algebra

The word "algebra" is derived from the Arabic word al-jabr, and this comes from the
treatise written in the year 830 by the medieval Persian mathematician, Muhammad
ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī, whose Arabic title, Kitāb al-muḫtaṣar fī ḥisāb al-ğabr wa-l-
muqābala, can be translated as The Compendious Book on Calculation.

2.) How do we use algebra in our daily life?

We use algebra quite frequently in our everyday lives, and without even realizing it. We
not only use algebra, we actually need algebra, to solve most of our problems that
involves calculations.
