POLITICAL ASSOCIATION
The association starts with the marriage of a man and a woman until they form a polis or
state.

According to plato there are three main classes for the state or commonwealth. They are
the Producers, The auxiliaries and the guardians.
The producers - are composed of craftsmen, farmers, traders or merchants and labourers.
The auxiliaries - are the protector of the state or the commonwealth (soldiers)
The guardians - The educated ones, citizens with wisdoms, leaders of the state.

F. THE GOOD CITIZEN AND THE GOOD MEN

The conclusion to which we are thus led is that the excellence of the citizen must be an
excellence relative to the constitu-tion. It follows on this that if there are several different
kinds of constitution . . . there cannot be a single absolute excel-lence of the good citizen.
But the good man is a man so called in virtue of a single absolute excellence.
