My Motivation Joint TOT CPN

I am currently working as a chemotherapy nurse in the women’s ward and outpatient

department at Mohammad Hoesin general hospital Palembang. The chemotherapy room is very
different from my previous room, I used to work in the heart super VIP room. For my first time being
an oncology nurse very surprised, that there were many cancer patients with a very sad conditions.
Cancer patients were not a little get depression, she thought if get cancer disease so she was going
to die.

I really remember this experience. At that time I saw my patient, her face looked sad, looked
weak, and all active in bed. Then I went to her, and I asked her “why do you look sad, this is your first
chemotherapy” she answer “Yes, this is my first chemotherapy, I am very depression, do you think I
am going to die” and then she was crying, she says “I still have a small child” and then I touch her
hand and then I say “many cancer patients get success with her treatments and get recovered from
her illness, but must have positive thinking when we are positive thinking so the result is positive
too”. After I said that, my patient hold me and I saw her face I look her eyes were beamed, she have
the spirit to fight her cancer disease.

I was very surprised when I met my patient at the next chemotherapy session, she looks very
healthy, and she can walk to the bathroom by herself. She came to me and hugged me, she said:
“thank you so much nurse for the motivation, your words yesterday made me very excited, I eat a
lot, and I feel very healthy now”. I am very happy with the condition of my patient like this, my
happiness cannot be expressed in words.

In June I was offered by Mohammad Hoesin General Hospital Palembang to join as a Trainer
of Training Cancer Patient Navigator, at first I didn't know what Cancer Patient Navigator is and then
I searched on Google what is CPN. I was very interested because the Cancer Patient Navigator is me.
Of course, I am the chemotherapy room is very different from my previous room, I used to work in
the heart super VIP room greed to take the Cancer Patient Navigator test. I asked all my family,
especially my beloved husband, if could I take the test to become a Cancer Patient Navigator, and
my husband and all my family agreed. I took this CPN test step by step, I can't put into words how
happy I was when I passed. I am even happier when I am trained by doctors who are very
professional so my knowledge is increasing. The thing that made me the happiest was when I came
to India directly, I met my lecturer in person directly and met lots of new friends from all over
Indonesia, and of course, no less interesting is that I can get various types of food from India. I hope
that after I finish this education, I can apply and help many of my patients.
