Standard Operating Procedure for Hostel Accommodation:

1. Outstation students will not be permitted to stay as day boarders (residents beyond
60 km radius from campus) unless parents stay with them. If parents prefer to stay, prior
permission will have to be sought from Dr. K. Gokulkumar, Assistant Director, Students
Welfare (kgokulkumar@vit.ac.in) on meeting him in person along with the parent.
2. Student should produce the soft copy of the vaccination certificates (1st and 2nd dose)
and RT- PCR negative test report done within 24 hours ahead of your travel, failing
which student will not be permitted to stay at hostel.
3. Strictly follow the travel guidelines and plan to reach hostel between 7 am and 7 pm
only.
4. Wearing mask and periodical sanitization is essential.
5. Students should undergo the thermal check-up administered by health center regularly.
6. Single and shared Non-AC accommodation will be considered for students.
7. Hostel inmates will not be permitted to leave the campus premises.
8. Strictly follow all norms pertaining to the pandemic during your travel and stay at hostel.

9. Student on onset of any preliminary symptom such as fever / cold / cough / loss of smell
should immediately report to the hostel authorities.

10. Chronic health conditions should be brought to the notice of the hostel authorities while
reporting to hostel.
Standard Operating Procedure for Academic Activities

1. All the students have to show the proof for two vaccinations. If anybody had been
affected by COVID and had not taken vaccination, he / she should produce proof of
COVID. All the students are instructed to keep the vaccination certificate in the
mobile phone.
2. Student should produce the hard copy of vaccination certificates (2 doses) and
RTPCR negative test report within 24 hours ahead of the travel, failing which student
will not be permitted inside the campus.
3. Wearing mask and periodical sanitization is very much essential.
4. In all the classes they have to maintain social distancing.
5. The students are instructed to avoid going in groups / group study / loitering in the
veranda.
6. The students on onset of any preliminary symptoms such as fever / cold / cough / loss
of smell should immediately report to the health centre.
7. Chronic health conditions should be brought to the notice of the Proctor / HOD / Dean
while reporting to the classes.
8. Once you are in, you will not be permitted to leave the campus (other than day
scholars).
9. The students are requested to follow all the precautionary norms which will be
released then and there as required.
