Vlog or Blog? What’s the difference? Blogging is pure text based. You explain everything with text.
Whereas vlogging is a video blog where you use video to explain everything.
Perhaps you have watched a vlog in YouTube from one of your favorite YouTubers. Now, it is your turn
to create your very own vlog for the English class.
Directions: You will document A Day in Your Life, where you will include your daily routine as a high
school student. In this vlog, you must record yourself, your face must be in shot at least twice in the
vlog. Your video must begin in the morning, and it must end in the evening. At home, in school (when it
is allowed) and outside of school. With their consent, the people you feature in the vlog, can introduce
themselves or say hi to the camera. You can even ask them questions about yourself for the vlog.
Throughout the video, you must speak in English and explain where you are and what you are doing.
After you collect all clips you will use for the vlog, you must edit them and put them together in one
video. You can edit the video to your liking, use text, music and/or special effects, be creative and make
it unique. In Moodle, I will share some examples of vlog videos that you can watch for inspiration. As
well, I will include a tutorial on how to edit a video.
Make sure to follow all the guidelines listed above and most of all, have fun in the process! This will
most likely serve as memorabilia for after you graduate high school.
