G. Vroutsis: Refunds of 135,346,225.11 euros to 158,600 freelancers, self-employed

and farmers after the settlement of contributions for 2019 – The insurance reform law
4670/2020 has created a simple, fair and remunerative system of contributions of free
choice for everyone

From the afternoon of Wednesday 30 December 2020, 98,019,378.32 euros will be credited
to the accounts of 101,613 freelancers, self-employed and farmers as refunds resulting from
a liquidation carried out by e-EFKA for the insurance contributions of the year 2019.

In total, 135,346,225.11 euros were returned to a total of 158,600 active freelancers, self-
employed people and farmers. Given that 56,987 of them have not yet declared to IVAN the
amount of 37,326,847.79 euros corresponding to them, it will be returned at the end of
January or offset against the contributions of the following months. The condition for the return
is to register the IVAN on the e-EFKA website by January 14, 2021 (www.efka.gov.gr ->
electronic services->Personal Information "Contact Information").

With the return of the amounts to the accounts of the insured, the life cycle of the contribution
system of law 4387/2016 (SYRIZA law), which obliged the insured to pay contributions based
