P: Prince R: Riley

R; Did you call?

P: *shocked ong* Who are you
R: I’m Riley, and I’m here to help with your homework since you look very miserable right now.
Why is that, Prince?
P: I have homework about Product rule, Power rule, and Product to a Power but I don't
understand.
R: Don’t fear because I’m here to help!

PRODUCT RULE (Korgan)(Danielle)

R: So first remember there are Bases & Exponents. The variable or letter is the base and the
number on top is the exponent. Lastly, bases with no exponents. The exponent is equal to one.
R: I’ll start with the Power rule first, it just basically means to add the exponents of like terms
which are terms with the same base like xy^2 . xy^4. So then add the exponents 2 and 4 and
copy their base which is?
P: xy, then add the exponents so it will be xy^6?
R: Correct! In solving product rule with unlike terms, just copy but remove the multiplication sign
so then if you solve xy2 . m7 it will become?
P: xy2m7.
R: *Teary eyed moment* Good job

POWER RULE (Jaden)(Mars)

R: Here in Power rule is where you multiply so remember Product rule is addition of exponents
and Power rule is multiplication of exponents. In Power rule just multiply the exponents together.
Example (j6)2 so multiply the exponents 6 and 2 and copy J and the answer is?
P: The answer will be j12
R: Yes! So now try to solve (2m3)4
P: *Thinking* *lightbulb*
P: Since 2 has no exponent its exponent is equal to one and the answer will be 24m12
R: *Teary eyed moment pt.2* You're doing great

PRODUCT TO A POWER (Elijay)(Amanda)

R: Last lesson for today, Product to a Power is the combination of both. So first do Product rule
then Power rule so basically, add the exponents then multiply.
P: That makes sense.
R: Example, (a5 . a3)5 so apply product rule first
P: So the answer is a8
R: Yes then solve with Power rule, (a8)5
P: Then the answer is a40, what about solving the unlike terms?
R: Good Question! Just move onto power rule if there are unlike terms. Try to answer (a5 . x6)5
P: *Working real hard* a25x20.
R: *Teary eyed moment pt 3* I'M SO PROUD OF YOU
R: You’re all set now, try to do your homework now and just remember that Product rule is the
addition of exponents, Power rule is the multiplication of exponents and Product to a Power is
the combination of both.

P: *focusing on his hw and working so hard ong*

FAST FORWARD (Elijay)(Amanda)

P: I’m done!
R: *Checks if his hw is correct*
R: *Intense stare*
R: I’ve never been more proud of you
P: Thank you so much, now I understand math.
