STEP 2 - READING ACTIVITY

“A Travel Guide”

According to the text, answer the following questions.

a. What are some recommendations to visit Bangkok? Use have to/ must/mustn't in your
answer.

First, you have to visit phra khanong because it offers an alternative place to stay with
its fantastic street markets where everyday people from bangkok eat, work and live.
b. What is the fastest way to get around in Bangkok?

You must to do to explore the temples and historical sites, is take an express boat river
taxi or longtail boat along the chao phraya river and canals. for the modern part of the
city, the skytrain is a fast, cheap way to travel from the river to the shopping malls and
nightlife of   sukhumvit, and the famous chatuchak street market ¡please, mustn´t a take
a taxi!
c. Where can you find the best Chinese and Thai restaurants and food stands in Bangkok?

If you want to eat the best food in Bangkok you must to be to Head for Chinatown –
Yaowarat Street –and choose whatever looks most interesting from the many excellent
Chinese and Thai restaurants and food stands. (although in reality the food is delicious
everywhere).
d. Why is water one of the best ways to move around Thailand?

¡¡Because Bangkok's traffic can be a nightmare!! ¡Please, mustn´t a take a taxi!

e. Why does the author say you can eat everywhere?

Because Thai street food is among the best in the world, and for around $5 you can eat a
filling and delicious meal. Some food stands have little plastic seats where you can sit
and eat and they cook the same dish over and over, like fried chicken on rice or Pad
Thai noodles. YOU HAVE TO TRY EVERYTHING!!!
f. What would you add to a guide destination like this? Mention 2 different items that you
consider necessary to keep in mind.

Well, for me the stay is very important so I have to add the top five of the best hotels
around the city.

On the other hand, I believe that other more popular tourist sites to visit must be
mentioned.
