Greetings from ORCHIDS The International School!

We are glad to state that we are starting with the READING PROGRAM for students.
Pandemic times were tough to deal with when it was all about online classes. Children lost
connect with the social world and also their peer group. Reading and speaking skills took a
big jolt. Two crucial years need to be bridged up at the earliest.

Hence, in the process of making our students independent, we are ensuring that the
students read and attempt the test on their own. It has been observed that many students
are not able to attempt the paper as they are facing difficulty in reading the text given in the
test paper due to which the performance of the child is affected.

Therefore we have initiated to conduct a rigorous reading program based on the feedback
received from the parents during interaction and also after observing the child’s
performance. This program will be functional for four weeks to get the desired
improvement as per the grade level of your ward.

Kindly ensure that during this crucial period the child is not absent to school and also is
supported in other subjects simultaneously. The program will start from Wednesday, 16
Nov 2022 during the regular school hours without disturbing their regular class schedule.

Note: Support your ward every day in revising the concepts taught during these sessions,
after they are back from school.
