Rizal’s Grand Tour with Viola in Europe 1887

After he is done in education here in the Philippines, he had an opportunity and open new
challenges there in Europe to continued his education. Rizal’s grand tour in Europe with Viola was a trip
that he made in 1887 after publishing his novel Noli Me Tangere. Rizal and Viola as his guide to visit
various places such as Dresden, Prague, Vienna, Paris, Brussels, London and Madrid. In this tour, helped
him in his mission to discover what was the countries were like and when he returns in the Philippines
he will understand what was the difference and compared to any European countries. During his tour
with Viola, he met some friends like Blumentritt Dr. Jagor at the scene of floral exploration where Rizal
interested. Rizal also was impressed to the painting of “Promethous Bound” at he museum of art. And as
well as the famous historic city they visited the Prague, also the Vienna using river boat to see the
beautiful sights of Danube river.
I realize here in the tour of Rizal with Viola in Europe 1887 that he is not there for his pleasure
and to spend money. He was there for his mission to helped him what was the country look alike. And
this is the time he completed writing his first novel Noli Me Tangere to provoke and awake to his dear
Filipinos on his novel book. He used his education to have the progress and freedom from the Spaniards.
