Introduction:-

OBJECTIVE TYPE TEST:-

Objective type test are highly structured text items. It required the test to
supply a word or symbol or to select the correct answer from a number of
alternatives. The answer of the items is fixed one.

Gilbert sax defines “objective type test in only test having clear and
unambiguous scoring criteria.”

William and Stephan define “objective type test as the test can be objectively
scored.” Objective type test as the test can be objectively scored” Objectively type test
items are efficient to measure instructional objectives.

Objective type test are also called as “new type test” these are designed to
over come of the great limitation at the essay type test.

FORM OF OBJECTIVE TYPE TEST:-

Broadly objective type test are of three types, such as –

1- Shorts answer type or supply type.


2- Two choice items or true-false items.
3- More than two choice items.

(a)Multiple choice items.


(b) Matching type items.

MERITS OF OBJECTIVE TYPE TEST OVER ESSAY TYPE TEST:-

1. Objective type tests are more comprehensive. It covers a wide range of syllabus as it
includes a range numbers of items.
2. It process objectives of scoring. The answer in objective type test in fixed and only one. It is
also predetermined so that different person scoring the answer script arrives at the same
result.
3. Objective type test are easy to score scoring is made with the help of scoring key or a scoring
stencil. So that even a can do the job.
4. Administration is easy.
5. Objective type test can be standardised.

6. It require less time in administering and scoring.

7. Objective type test can measure a wide range of instructional onjectives.

8. It is highly reliable.

9. At allow of adequate content sampling.

10. It is more economic.

TABLE OF SPECIFICATION / BLUE PRINT:-

Table of the specification classifies each text item according to what objective it
addresses. Table of specification or blue print is a three dimensional chart
showing list of instructions. The table of specification insure that:
