    1. Confirm backfilling material is of good quality and approved.

    2. Provide test results for the backfilling material ie for marram backfill.
    3. Confirm marram backfill is done as described in the BoQ. ie in
    layers of 150mm to 200mm compacted.
    4. Confirm the density of compaction is achieved and confirmed the
    project engineer and appropriate tests done accordingly.
    5. Confirm hardcore hand parking is in layers of 250mm to 300mm and well compacted.
    6. Confirm necessary markings for final level of fill is located and established.
    7. Confirm watering is done during marram compaction to achieve maximum density.
