the Deccan trap.
The soil contains more
moisture retaining
capacity.
The soil forms in the areas
with high temperature and

The soil forms due to the


leaching away of Silica.
The soil is sandy in
texture and saline in
ARID SOIL
nature.
The lower horizon of the
soil are occupied by
Kankar.
