Assignment
(Module 2.3)
1. Explain the effects of globalization on governments.

Globalization has brought about significant changes to the world, creating challenges for
governments in regulating global trade, finance, and other issues. Interdependence among countries has
made it necessary for governments to work together to address common problems. However, the
increased influence of global institutions and multinational corporations has raised concerns about
inequality, environmental degradation, and the erosion of sovereignty.

To ensure that globalization benefits citizens and the global community, governments must balance the
benefits and challenges it brings. Cooperation and collaboration among governments, multinational
corporations, and global institutions are vital in addressing these concerns. Ultimately, the success of
globalization depends on governments' ability to navigate the changing global landscape while ensuring
that their citizens benefit from it. It is important to regulate the actions of multinational corporations and
global institutions while maintaining autonomy and sovereignty.

2. Identify the institutions that govern international relations.

Several institutions play a significant role in governing international relations and regulating global trade,
finance, and other issues. These include the United Nations, International Monetary Fund, World Bank,
World Trade Organization, and International Court of Justice. These institutions help promote
international cooperation, facilitate economic growth and stability, and address global issues such as
peace and security, human rights, and sustainable development. Their policies and decisions can have a
significant impact on the global economy, trade, and other areas, and governments must work together
to ensure that their citizens benefit from globalization.
