Tournament Rules & Format

1. Total no of players playing in this tournament  24.

2. All the 24 players will be divided into 6 teams with 4 players each.

3. These 6 teams will again be divided into 2 groups with 3 teams in each group as shown below.

4. These groupings have been done randomly based on chits. Please go through the below schedule in
the Match Schedule Section and kindly decide the player positions. Each player plays 6 matches in a
group stage. Once player position is finalised, we will update the schedule by replacing the A1, B2,
C3…. etc with player names.

5. Matches will be played on a 4v4 basis. This means that all the players of a team will be paring up
with each team player. And all the team players get to play against each of the players from the
opponent team as well.

E.g.: - In a match between Team A and Team B, player A1 pairs up with A2, A3, & A4. And player A1
plays against B1, B2, B3, B4. Same thing is applicable for all the players of Team A and Team B. Total
no of matches played for a team this way will be 6 and total no of matches per player will be 3.

6. In group matches each team will play against each team in 4v4 format. This means in Group 1,
Team A plays a 4v4 against Team B, Team B plays a 4v4 against Team C and Team C plays a 4v4
against Team A. Same goes for Group 2. This way in a particular group there will be a total of 18
matches as shown in the Match Schedule Section.

7. In case there is a tie between 2 or more teams in group stage, points difference will be considered.
So, in case if you are losing, try not to lose with a huge margin 😊.

Note: - Player position 1, 2, 3, 4 will not be allowed to change in the final. Positions will remain
same as decided.

8. Top teams from each group goes to the final. And teams finishing on 2nd spots from each group
plays the Third-place match.

9. The final will again be played on a 4v4 basis between the two finalists across 6 matches as per the
schedule mentioned in the Match Schedule Section.
10. An optional 7th match (‘Best Player Face Off’) will be played, in case there is a tie between the
teams in the final. In this each team selects 2 best players from their respective teams and gives the
names to the match referee. This decision should be unanimous and not by seeing the players from
the opponent team. The team who wins this match wins the tournament.

11. The “Third-Place” matches will be played simultaneously with 2 players of each team playing in
both the courts. If a team wins both the matches, then the team wins the “Third-place” challenge.
