1. Could you please tell the panel about your education background and work
experience if any and what qualities do you possess which makes you the most suitable
candidate for this post?

 Education background, qualifications, communication skills, computer skills,


strength points, work experience, job knowledge, any skill possessed.

2. It is very important that any Organization/ Ministry to keep records. In your


opinion, what types of records does the Ministry of Education keep on its records?

 Information on learners
 Information on teachers/HoDs, Principals
 Information Schools
 Information of learners drop out
 Information on hostels
 Information on furniture’s chairs, desks
 Information on learners affected by HIV/AIDS
 Information on non-teaching staff

3. What will be your roles about the post that you have applied for?

 Distributing of mails to the rightful people


 Sorting incoming and outgoing mails
 Handling inquiries
 Recording and registering mails that are going and incoming to the Service
Provider
 Typing documents, making copies

4. Imagine you have many documents to be typed and at the same time, you have an
appointment with a Doctor. Which of the two will you attend first and why?

 If the candidate is serious sick, she/he can request other colleague to assist him/her in typing
documents
 If the candidate is not serious sick, he/she can call the Doctor to reschedule his /her
appointment
 Anything the candidate mentions which is relevant to the question.

5. You arrived at the office in the morning and two of your colleagues are quarrelling and
using abusive languages to each, how would you address the situation?

 Check how the candidates answer the question

7. If you appointed as Clerical Assistant, where do you see yourself in five years term?

 To master the job in the section, to study further and to be promote to a high
rank and acquire more knowledge and skills i To bring tangible improvement
in Section terms of service delivery, to work as a team, handle
inquiries/customers in more organized way, to submit report to relevant
supervisors on time, ability to innovate/initiate new ideas
