To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my interest in the position of a guide. I would be incredibly happy to take this
vacancy both because of my love for our city and being involved in communicating with people. Currently, I
am a Senior year student of our local university and I am studying for a History degree, which means that
the nature of my studies has well prepared me for a position such as that one.

My mom is an English teacher, and this is why I was being taught this language since I turned 4. I also was in
an Advanced English class and became one of the best students there. Furthermore, I have travelled abroad
for an exchange program, so I possess the skills, required to communicate with foreigners. Now I definitely
can call English my second mother tongue.

Last year, I took part in a voluntary educational program. Volunteers from all over the world were invited for
a 3-week trip to Turkey, where we were teaching teenagers about our homeland’s culture, tradition, sights,
and many other things. In addition to a great opportunity of educating kids, I also have learned a lot about
other countries, which, I consider, is helpful for a historian. I believe I would be suitable for this role because,
despite the facts I have mentioned before, I see myself as a friendly and enthusiastic worker.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application. I am available for contact and/or interview at any
time. I look forward to hearing from you.
