Nowadays, many older people believe that teenagers do not respect the opinions of adults.

They believe
that we consider ourselves the smartest and do not value their experience. In my view, this is not true.

To begin with, not following the advises or opinions does not mean we do not respect them. My peers and I j
listen to all the views and choose one, that is the most appropriate for us and our outlook. For instance,
most adults believe that God exists, while most teenagers tend to deny that fact or choose to be agnostics.
Nevertheless, we still respect the feelings of believers.

Next, being an adult does not mean you can’t make mistakes or that you know everything about the world.
Being human is characterized by being unperfect, so even if you lived a hundred years, that would not
prevent you from mistaking or give some superpower to have all world’s knowledge. Put another way, age
does not mean wisdom. The world is changing, people are changing, and being uneducated in something is
an absolutely normal thing, even for adults.

Lastly, teenagers see the way adults have been living their lives and we understand, that all the experiences
they have led them to their current life. So, if a teenager dislikes the way his parents or grandparents lived,
he or she definitely should not listen to their advice. In addition, many teenagers have some favorite
celebrities, the lifestyle which they adore, and we usually listen to their opinion, because we want to be as
successful, happy, and interesting as they are.

In conclusion, it seems to me that teenagers respect adults and value their experiences, but at the same
time, they are trying to choose the best from the world of polyphony of thoughts. Is not it a good thing to
do?
