OPUS 5.X END OF LIFE

In July of 2007, we proudly launched the Opus platform on version 5.X as a
complete management and control suite that orchestrates the HVAC, lighting,
refrigeration, and energy management functions of a multi-site facility by means of
a single hardware and software platform. Over the years we have continued to
develop solutions on that platform to provide value to our customers. Today we are
now announcing the end of life of our Opus 5.X software as we transition into our
next generation platform, Opus Magnum.

Opus Magnum provides a new foundation offering an exciting opportunity to

provide our customers even more value with additional functionality, security and
efficiency that would not be possible on the 5.X platform. Reference the following
timeline for each stage of the Opus 5.X End of Life cycle:

END OF SALE – OCT. 1, 2020

• New license orders for Opus 5.X will no longer be available for purchase.

•Existing systems will continue to operate with no immediate impact.

END OF ENGINEERING – JULY 1, 2021

•Ceasing new enhancements, bug fixes, and security updates for Opus 5.X.
END OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT – JULY 1, 2022

• Technical support from Honeywell Multisite will no longer be available for

Opus 5.X.
• Opus 5.X Software will be discontinued.

We thank our customers and want to help them make a smooth transition to Opus
Magnum, the NexGen building and energy management suite from Honeywell
Multisite. The value of Opus Magnum exceeds any other energy management
software on the market. Some of the features include:

What is the last date that Opus 5.X licenses can be purchased?

Opus 5.X Licenses and License options may be purchased through October 1, 2020.

Can customers who have purchased Opus 5.X continue to use the
software/devices? How does End-of-Life for Opus 5.X after July 2021 impact
customers?
Opus 5.X devices will continue to function under normal circumstances. There will
be no modifications to the software for enhancements, bug fixes, and security
updates.

Does the end-of-life affect all devices?

Yes, the Opus 5.X end-of-life impacts all devices that run versions of Opus 5.X
software (any server, desktop or controller currently on Opus 5.0- 5.14).

I know you will no longer be developing beyond July 1, 2021, but will
the software no longer work after July 1, 2021 when support ends?
No, Opus 5.X will continue to operate under normal circumstances. You can
continue to use it to control and manage your sites. However, it is quite possible
that security standards, operating and browser capabilities will continue to change
after we cease support and after July 1, 2021, we can no longer deliver security
or compatibility updates nor fix any bugs that might crop up.

How does end of life for Opus 5.X affect support?

1. No new Opus 5.X Licenses or option parts will be created or sold after the
announced End of Sale date.
2. Honeywell Multisite will not address defects or cyber security issues after July 1,
2021.
3. Windows versions, browsers, databases, etc., released post July 1, 2021 will not be
tested with Opus 5.X and therefore, we will not be able to address any issues that
might occur as a result.
4. Opus 5.X software builds will no longer be available.
