“On the right time”

Somebody ask me “ Ate bakit ganon? Parang ayoko ng mag asawa sa bahay lang naman ako lagi”.And
then I suddenly remembered the lesson that my professor discussed which is a “ Gender Biases”. It’s not
just a topic , but a reality happening even in our current generation. The women Should be inside the
house. Taking care of their children, Cooking for their family and cleaning the house. On the other hand,
men are the one who should make money, work hard to have a food to eat and they must show the
strength of being a father. I felt something heavy like it’s never gonna change,Like it our culture, you’ll
never gonna erase it on the mindset of the people.

It was just like my family before when I was 6 years old . My mother was the one who’s taking care of
me since I am the youngest among the five. She’s the one who wake up early in the morning to cook the
food for the family , she will wake up my sister in order to wash their body to go to school. You know
she’s the only one who have a job of 24 hours or more than that but she never complained because she
knows that it is her responsibility of being a mother and a wife while my father was going to the coconut
trees to sell in order to provide the needs of everyday life . It seems women has a Neverending job .

On that time , when I was Around 6 Years old , There’s a time that my mind was on the midst of “
Okay I get it , Women should inside the house Men are not “ but as time passed by , I continue develop
my perspective about gender biases. I totally question myself . “ In the future, Am I just like my mother
who has a difficult job inside the house or Am I just like my father who has no permanent job “ .I think
deep about it and now that I’ve face different circumstances and Develop my insight throught time
passed. I Continue to develop my perspective that “ okay maybe , I’m a women and should be inside the
house”.

In our current Generation, Those discrimination exercise also but it’s a little bit change. Now, Women
can do what Men can . My sister has a job now and my brother has a job now also. They can cook well
and do the job inside the house. There is no permanent in our world. Everyone and everything will
change on the right time . Not now but soon .
