PERFORMANCE TASK 1

While anyone may deliver a speech, having the correct motivation


and a general awareness of the situation and your audience can
assist ensure its efficacy. While some speeches seek to inform their
listeners, persuade them to change their minds, or at the very least
get them to examine some factors they may not have previously
given much thought to, others are intended to amuse. You can
learn about the variations between the various speech kinds by
understanding what differentiates them.

By recounting and dramatizing his experience with bullies when he


was in grade school, Darren Tay Wen Jie amuses the audience
during his speech. And he would simply be laid back while giving
his speech, cracking numerous jokes at his listeners.

Being an introvert does not mean one is timid, reserved, or


unfriendly. Being an introvert entails having a sharp mind, the
ability to read people well, and a keen sense of their moods and
behaviors. Crystal Robello was aiming to persuade her audience
that introverts are incredible people on the inside and the outside.
She gives her audience constructive or agreeable ideas in her
speech that they can use to affect their lives.

Felicia Tang gives her audience a thorough comprehension of the


idea she presented by explaining—or rather, informing—them about
the development and operation of aviation as well as how it has
affected and harmed people throughout history.

Although the purposes of these three sorts of communication may


vary, they are all essentially conversations with their audiences

Before starting an oration, it's crucial for the speakers to have a


clear idea of the speech's broad or specialized goal. The speaker
stays focused and on task when they have a broad aim.
