Education does not just focus on literacy but it also foster the camaraderie and social skills of the

students.
Associated with that, sports serves as an extracurricular activity that instills the students the essence of sportsmanship,
develops their physical and mental alertness, and increases the students’ ability to learn and apply new skills and knowledge.

Sports and physical activity participation gives students new opportunity to interact and engage with one
another, contributing to a supportive learning environment in class. This also includes encouraging better academic
performance, ensuring greater inclusivity and participation in the classroom, as well as improvements to student health and
preparedness for the future. However, being an athlete has a great impact on students’ learning. The researchers see that it is
difficult to balance studying and playing sports. There will be lots of sacrifices to be made on their time for studying and
maintaining physical and mental health. Rules that must be followed by the students also emerges. As an athlete, you must
prioritize playing sports for it cannot be denied that it helps in various academic matters especially if a student is a scholar. It
will help a lot in supporting his/her study needs just like tuition fee. Being an athlete has much difficulties that needs to be
overcome, having to study while playing and having to catch up with the lessons that your teacher has already taught your
class are just some of it. Adjustments are made and self studying was also performed by the students. This new way of
students’ learning is rough for it is not the way they used to study.
