EXT. MAIN GATE WALKING INSIDE - DAY
Cierra arrived at school early and entered the gate. Her
friends immediately called her at first glance.
AIRA CADDEL:
Hoyyyyy! Cierra, hintayin mo naman
kami.
JAKE CARSON:
Oo, nga. Sabay na tayo.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
(turned to them and stopped
walking) Ay, kayo pala 'yan. Wow!
Is this a miracle?
They were confused.
BOTH:
Huh?
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
(chuckles) Ang aga niyo kasi. Medyo
nanibago lang.
AIRA CADDEL:
'Yun lang pala. Akala ko kung ano.
JAKE CARSON:
Tara na nga. Let's head inside. Ang
bigat kasi ng bag ko.
All of them nodded as they agreed.

INT. CLASSROOM - DAY

They were about to have an exam and after their papers got
checked, Cierra got the perfect score as always.
MS. CLARA FERNANDEZ:
So ngayon, we will be a starting
our exam now.The students groaned
and scratched their heads.Cierra
didn't react and readied her pen
and paper.
MS. CLARA FERNANDEZ: (CONT'D)
 (CONT'D)
Alright, so tapos na ako mag check
sa papers nyo. Ang highest natin ay
si Cierra as usual.
2.

The class cheered and applauded.

Cierra was covering her face while smiling because she was
shy and then thanked everyone in class.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Thank you guys!
MS. CLARA FERNANDEZ:
Okay, everyone. Settle down. May
announcement ako.
Everyone quickly settled down and paid attention to the
teacher.
MS. CLARA FERNANDEZ: (CONT'D)
 (CONT'D)
There will be a Science quiz bee
dito sa school natin. I've decided
to make Cierra our representative
for the competition. Wala naman
sigurong aangal, diba? Based on
Cierra's great performance dito sa
school, alam kong kaya n'ya to.
CLASSMATE 1:
Ayun oh! Sure win na 'yan.
CLASSMATE 2:
I agree! Ang galing-galing kaya ni
Cierra. Siguradong makukuha niya
1st place.

At this moment, Cierra was starting to feel pressured and

troubled but she maintained a smiling face and didn't show
any signs of worriedness.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
A-ah. Okay, po. I'll do it.
She slightly stuttered as she agreed hesitantly.

EXT. OUTSIDE SCHOOL - AFTERNOON

The class ended and while Cierra was walking on the way home,
she said something to herself internally.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Tama ba ang ginawa ko? Ang sasali
sa contest? What if I lose? 'Di
kaya ng pride ko 'yun. No! Kaya ko
'to, I won't disappoint them.
3.

INT. HOUSE - NIGHT

They were eating dinner but the atmosphere was far from what
you expect with family dinners. It was so heavy, quiet, and
gloomy. So, Cierra broke the silence.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Mom, Dad. I'm going to tell you
something.
Getting no response, she continued talking.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:  (CONT'D)
May sasalihan akong contest, it's a
science quiz bee at ako ang
piniling representative.
She was expecting a gratified reaction from them but all she
got was a hum which immediately fades her smile.
PARENTS:
Hmm...

FADE IN:ROOM SCENE

Cierra was in her room feeling saddened at what happened
during their dinner. She told herself in mind;
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
They're always like that naman eh,
what was I expecting? Baka 'di pa
enough achievements ko. Pero, baka
kaya kong baguhin 'yan if I'll win
this contest.

EXT. CLASSROOM - DAY

!!Extra Scene!! Quiz bee ongoing, students writing

EXT. SCHOOL STAGE - DAY

The quiz bee was finally over and as usual, Cierra won. MS
MISS CLARA FERNANDEZ:
Cierra, halika na, it's time for
the awarding.
She was then seen at stage as she received presents and the
awards for winning, also the people are congratulating her.

4.

INT. HOUSE - NIGHT

Cierra ran fast all the way to the living room excitedly as
she secured her award.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Mom, Dad! Look what I-
Cierra stopped once she saw her parents all busy as they were
in a hurry.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:  (CONT'D)
Mom, Dad, nanalo pala ako-
DAD:
Wait lang anak ha, we're in a hurry
right now, our schedule today is
tight.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Pero this won't take long, I just
want to say na-
MOM:
We'll just call you nalang ha? Food
is in the fridge, magluto ka
nalang. Bye sweetie
Her mother planted a peck on her head as her parents left
which means, she's alone again. Cierra dropped herself on the
couch as she looked up at the ceiling.

CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: Ganito
nalang ba palagi? I'm alone again,
I just want to tell them na I won.
She stood up, grabbed her jacket, and went out. She suddenly
lost it and cried her heart out because of what always
happen.
EXT. STREET - NIGHT
Cierra cried herself out while sitting on the ground.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
When will this stop? Pagod na 'kong
maranasan to nang paulit-ulit!
They're always occupied with their
works na kahit konting atensiyon,
di nila mabigay. Buti pa ibang
magulang, they always have time for
their kids no matter how busy they
are. Paano naman ako?
5.

She soon realized the state she is in so she instantly got

up.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:  (CONT'D)
What am I even doing?

Without her notice, a boy across the streets was eyeing her
and he then soon approached Cierra.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
Uh hi, we don't know each other
pero I'm kind of worried, nakita
kitang umiyak, are you okay?
Due to embarrassment, Cierra wiped of her tears.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Oh.. yeah, I'm fine.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
By the way, I'm Caiden Pierre
Martinez, just call me Cai.
He forwarded his hand.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Cierra Victoria Ortega. Cierra, for
short.
She gladly accepted his hand.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
Okay ka na ba? You look swollen,
kanina ka pang umiyak no?
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Obvious ba? I can no longer handle
it. Normal lang naman sa isang anak
na mag crave ng attention sa
parents nila, right? Ang sakit eh,
wala na silang time at puro trabaho
nalang inaasikaso. Ang daming
problems at nakakapressure pa, I
have to win, to be on top every
single time to meet their
expectations of me. Pasensya na, I
just want to let this out.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
No it's fine, naintindihan kita.
It's really better to let those
out. I know it's weird for a
stranger to say this pero, can we
be friends?
6.

CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:

Thank you for hearing me out and oo
naman, we can.
After their small talk, they parted their ways.
EXT. BOULEVARD - DAY
While she was walking, she saw her friend from last night,
Caiden. She rushed to greet him.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: Cai! Hi. I didn't expect to see you
this soon.
She received many stares from other people but she could
careless. Caiden smiled as he approached to greet her.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ: Hello. Ikaw pala'yan. I'm glad we met
sooner. 'San ka punta?
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: Dito lang. Ikaw ba?
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ: Same. Do you wanna hang out? It's
nice to have some company.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:Yeah, sure. It's been a while since I
went out with someone. All my friends are busy naman eh.
After they talked, they walked along the road while
talkingand laughing. She was confused why people were staring
butshe didn't pay attention.
EXT. NEAR HER HOUSE - AFTERNOON
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: Well, I'll stop here. Goodbye muna, I
still have to prepare for school.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ: Too bad. You have to study well.
Let's meet again, soon. Bye.
After that, they parted ways.
INT. CLASSROOM - DAY
The teacher was discussing something but Cierra was spacing
out because she kept thinking about yesterday. The teacher
called her out and they were quite baffled because it was the
first time they saw her spaced out.
MS CLARA FERNANDEZ:
Miss Cierra! Are you listening?
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Uh, what?
7.

CLASSMATE:
You were spacing out, Cierra. Is
there a problem?
CLASSMATE 3:
May nangyari ba? You, spacing out
during class discussion is so
unusual.
They all somehow agreed as Cierra felt embarrassed.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Sorry, I was thinking about
something.
MS CLARA FERNANDEZ:
You know how much I dislike my
students not paying attention in
class right? I wasn't expecting
this from you Cierra, baka bababa
grades mo dahil nito.
She stood up from her seat and bowed as an apology before
sitting back as she said something in mind.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Patay! Nakakahiya. This better not
affect my grades.
After what happened, class went on as usual.
School ended and the students are going home. While she was
walking, her friends walked up to her.
JAKE CARSON:
Ba't nangyari yun?
AIRA CADDEL:
I know right. I mean spacing out in
class is totally normal, like me,
24/7 na laging lutang pero, ikaw?
That was so unexpected.
She wasn't able to respond when she saw her friend at the
other direction and called him. Her friends looked at her all
confused and puzzled.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: (CONT'D)
Caiden! Pst!
Cierra happily waved her hand.
8.

AIRA CADDEL:
Ikaw rin ba or gutom lang talaga
ako?
Aira asked Jake who has the same reaction as hers.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
I have to excuse myself, my other
friend is here kase. I'll see you
next time nalang ha? Bye!
JAKE CARSON:
Alright, see you.
Then, they parted ways and she ran towards her friend.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
Hey, hey. Slow down.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
I'm just so excited to see you.
Let's walk together!
They walked together chatting with each other. People, again,
stared at her but she didn't mind.
While they were chatting, Cierra suddenly stopped. Caiden was
gone when she realized.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: (CONT'D)
Then, the teacher suddenly call-...
Huh? Caiden? Where are you?

NEW SCENE
There were many times were they would cross paths with each
other. But, as they made more memories together, Cierra is
losing focus at school and her grades dropped significantly.
!! Insert scene where Cierra is spacing out all the time!!
INT. CLASSROOM - AFTERNOON
Class just ended and the teacher asked Cierra to stay. She
was confused as why the teacher asked her to stay.
MS. CLARA FERNANDEZ:
Do you know why I asked you to
stay? As much as I don't want to
say this, but bumaba grades mo,
Miss Ortega. I noticed how you've
been disoriented which resulted to
low grades. Ang laki ng binaba.
9.

Cierra was internally shaking as she couldn't bare eye

contact with her adviser.
MS. CLARA FERNANADEZ:
So, kinausap ko parents mo about-
Before Ms. Clara finished her sentence, Cierra interrupted by
standing aggressively which caught the teacher aback.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
What?! You told my parents?! You
can't do that! Ugh!
She frustratingly messed her hair.
MS CLARA FERNANDEZ:
Miss Ortega, calm down! Di mo
kailangang sumigaw.
Cierra bit her nails and bowed to apologized before taking a
seat again.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
I'm sorry, It's just frustrating. I
won't do it again, Miss.
She was nervous and scared thinking about what her teacher
said.

INT. HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON

A surprise was waiting for her at home. Her parents were
there. It was quiet unexpected. She opened the door and was
shock.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: (CONT'D)
Mom? Dad?
Her dad looked so furious.
DAD:
What happened Victoria? Your
adviser called me.
MOM:
What were you doing all this time?!
Lahat binibigay namin sa iyo at eto
lang ginagawa mo? What is wrong
with you?!
10.

DAD:
Kakabalik lang namin from work
tapos ito agad sasalubong sa amin?
You should be ashamed of yourself!
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Lahat? Binigay 'nyo? Talaga? You're
saying that all you did was for me?
Oh, stop acting like you cared
bacause you never did! Sabihan niyo
ako kung kailan kayo naglaan ng
oras para sa'kin. See? Wala kayong
masabi kasi wala naman talaga! I'm
so tired. You can't even ask how
your daughter is doing. All you
care about is your work-

Before she could even finish, her mom slapped her as her eyes
widened.
MOM:
Kapal ng mukha mo para pagsabihan
kami niyan! You don't know what it
feels like to be a parent! We had
to sacrifice so many things just
for you tapos gaganyanin mo lang
kami?
DAD:
You have everything that others
desire yet you're acting
ungrateful. Buti pa yung ibang mga
bata, marunong magpasalamat.
Cierra couldn't stand those words. She cried even harder
until it was hard for her to breathe. She was trembling. Her
nails dug in her palms from clenching too hard. What happened
next scared her parents. SHE FAINTED! After seeing what
happened, her parents rushed over to her, worried, and called
an ambulance.

INT. HOSPITAL- NIGHT

Her parents were anxiously waiting for the doctor. Then, the
doctor came out.
PARENTS:
How is she?
DOCTOR:
She is fine by now. It seems like
she was too stressed. Hindi na
kinaya ng katawan niya.
11.
DOCTOR:  (CONT'D)
She also lost so much weight. It
seems like she doesn't even get
enough sleep. She was having
trouble breathing as well when she
regained consciousness and the
amount of hair she has is
decreasing, we also noticed small
bruises on her body. We also found
small scars on her wrist which
means she might be harming herself.
Your daughter could have depression
and anxiety, there are too many
signs to ignore. By the way, Mr.
and Mrs. Ortega, wala ba kayong
kakaibang napansin kay Cierra
lately?
We can also insert scenes where she is crying her self to
sleep or harming her self.
The two looked at each other knowing how they're unaware of
their daughter's life because they're too focused on their
works.
DOCTOR:  (CONT'D)
We did additional tests, including
MRI scans and the results says your
daughter has schizophrenia.
During this scene, it will be a voice over since we will be
inserting the scenes where Cierra is talking to Caiden but it
will be the people's POV. Cierra will be seen talking alone
without Caiden.
MOM:
Schizophrenia? Ano yan? I haven't
heard of that before.
DAD:
Delikado ba yan, Doc.?
DOCTOR:
Schizophrenia is a serious
condition where people interpret
reality abnormally. Schizophrenia
results in some combination of
hallucinations, delusions, and
extremely disordered thinking and
behavior. Nakita ko siya earlier,
she's talking to someone whom she
calls Cai or Caiden ba 'yun but
there was no one there, she's
basically talking to anyone. Iwan
ko muna kayo. Please excuse me.
12.

MOM:
Do you think this would happen if
binigyan natin siya ng kahit
kaunting atensiyon? It was always
our responsibility to do that pero
kahit bare minimum, we can barely,
no, we didn't give it to her. I'm
such a terrible mother.
She cried as her husband calmed her down by placing her
between his arms.
DAD:
I can't deny the fact na I was
harsh towards her but don't blame
yourself too much, Cierra wouldn't
like that, either.
MOM:
Kung hindi tayo palaging busy, 'di
sana siya magkakaganito. I regret
not listening and ignoring her.
Nagkaproblema tuloy siya.
DAD:
Don't worry, we'll apologize to
her. Babawi tayo.
A nurse appeared and approached them.
NURSE:
Excuse me, kayo po ba si Mr. and
Mrs. Ortega? Cierra Victoria's
guardians?
The mother immediately wiped her tears as she nodded.
NURSE:  (CONT'D)
You can visit the patient na po,
I'll excuse myself.
Once they entered the room, they saw how Cierra was smiling
which relieves them but once they realized that she's smiling
to no one, their smile instantly faded.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
I wanted to introduce you to them
pero I changed my mind. Masakit pa
rin isipin how my parents could do
that.
13.

CAIDEN:
They're here. I think you should
talk to them Cierra, I bet they
realized what they did.
She looked over to the side to spot her parents who are
tearing up at the sight of her; her state.
DAD:
Cierra..
Her father gently called her but Cierra looked away, avoiding
eye contact.
MOM:
Anak I'm sorry...
Cierra's mother burst out crying as she went over to Cierra's
side and embraced her lovingly.
MOM:  (CONT'D)
I'm really sorry, Cierra.
DAD:
We are very sorry. We've realized
how we treated you before and we
regret it. We don't expect you to
forgive us immediately kasi what we
did affected you so much.
Her mother held her face tenderly as she spoke.
MOM:
Cierra, sino ba kinausap mo kanina?
She wants to hear it straight from her daughter and asked
away.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
H-he's my friend. Hindi niyo na
dapat pakialaman 'yon.
MOM:
Siya ba si Caiden?
After her Mother mentioned his name, Cierra then looked at
her surprisingly.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
(shocked)
Paano mo nalaman?
14.

MOM:
That doesn't matter, can you tell
us more about him, anak?
Her mother's eyes expressed sadness, she felt sad for her
daughter's condition.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Caiden is my long-time friend.
We've been seeing each other for
quite awhile now. When I had no
one, he was there. It's like, he
was sent by the heavens. The
feeling of being with him is so
ecstatic, Mom, kaya sana, you won't
take him away from me.
Cierra looked down, having the fear of losing Caiden. Her
parents looked at each other, the result of their treatment
towards her was there appearing in front of them.
EXT. BEACH - DAY
They were spending time at the beach.
CIERRA'S POV (VOICE OVER):
(walking at the beach)
After I left the hospital, Mom and
Dad started to spend their time
with me, we always bond together
and I've never felt so happy. But,
it always felt like something was
missing, I can't figure out what it
really is. Pero ang mahalaga, they
started paying attention to me.
FADE IN SCENE - HOUSE (Cierra eyeing her parents busy with
their work again)
CIERRA POV CONTINUATION:

(I saw my poor self again,
craving for their
attention. The great
moment did not last long
and that's where I
finally figured the
missing piece I was
craving for.)
In her mind: They're busy again.
Akala ko the moment will last.
Hindi pala. Who am I kidding?
Then, she went out again.
15.

EXT. STREET - NIGHT
The breeze was cold, Cierra was walking peacefully at night
when she saw a familiar figure.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
Caiden? Is that you?
She became teary, she was sure that it's him. There, she
realized that's what she has been missing. Her friend. She
completely forgot about it.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: (CONT'D)
(running towards him,
crying) Caiden! How I
missed you.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ:
Yeah! Me, too. Kinalimutan mo na
ako.
He invited her to sit down and they chatted.
CAIDEN PIERRE MARTINEZ: (CONT'D)
Halika. Upo tayo. We have a lot of
catching up to do.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA:
(looking down, closing
eyes)
Yeah. So much happened. You didn't
visit me again. Hinintay kita. I
was so lonely at the hospital. Wala
akong makausap kasi nawala ka
bigla. You have no idea how much I
missed you. 'Wag mo 'kong iwan,
please. Just stay with me.
Then, she noticed he wasn't answering. But, when she looked
up, Caiden was gone.
CIERRA VICTORIA ORTEGA: (CONT'D)
(while looking around,
really sad face) Caiden?
Where are you?
(sigh) I'm all left alone
again.
