Dear Madam/Sir,

Please accept my enthusiastic application for the job position of project manager in Arla. I have a
bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Philosophy from the University of Zadar and I am a newly graduate
in MA philosophy program with focus on ethics and politics at Aarhus University. Why do I think that
both my educational and professional background is perfect for a job of project manager for?

First of all this is because of the my communication skills. My studies were mostly about
thinking, talking and writing. Thanks to my philosophy studies I learned how to analyze and construct
sound arguments, distinguish fine differences between views and find common ground, present my ideas
convincingly through well-constructed systematic arguments, write clearly and persuasively. I became
proficient in preparing reports, summarizing and speaking in public. Besides that I learned how to listen
effectively and actively which ensures effective exchange of information.

Since Arla is an international company and this position is about creating content for global and
local brands I find it worth mentioning that my profile course during my MA studies was “International
communication and collaboration”. We were taught about challenges in international businesses and
international teams. During this course we were doing many case studies of international companies and
challenges they face. I am acquainted with methods that should be used to improve communication and
collaboration on the international level . and how a product or a brand should make different strategies
for different international markets.

My work experience as a tourist animator in hotel “Umag” for the company “Plava Laguna” from
Croatia helped me develop ability to quickly get into new areas of work. I am used to work in
international environment and to be good in multitasking. I am also good in maintaining an overview in
hectic and crowded situations .I have strong working habits and am always willing to learn more and to
work extra .I am positive and approachable person with a good sense of humor. I am a team player and I
can contribute to the positive work environment with my “yes, we can” attitude.
