Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, students around the world have had to engage in online learning from home instead of attending school in person. Supporters argue that keeping students home helps slow the spread of the virus, and that online learning is more comfortable without travel time. However, critics note that students have varying access to technology, and that social interactions are less meaningful online than in person. Overall, online learning has advantages and disadvantages, but it should continue to help curb the pandemic until normal daily life can safely resume.

Since the start of 2020, the world has suffered from a new
plague known as the novel coronavirus. Because of this,
people all around the world are required to stay indoors for everyday activities, including school. Some people believe this is a good thing, while others disagree with this view. There are many arguments for staying at home. For one, students staying at home won’t come into contact with other people. This will in return help slow down the pandemic. Another reason is that learning at home is more comfortable than learning at school. There is no travel time between students’ houses and school, so the students can prepare for school at a pace they are comfortable with. Of course, there are also many counter-arguments for online learning. One of them is that different students have different means of attending online classes. Some students may have the fastest internet and computer in the world, while some may only have their phones to study and attend class with. Another weakness of online class is that social interactions between students are completely minimized. Though students may be able to talk online, conversations obviously won’t be as meaningful as face-to-face conversations. In conclusion, there are many ups and downs to online learning during the pandemic. In my opinion, online learning should be continued in order to slow down the pandemic and everyone can go back to their daily lives.
