Due to the difference in the value of the Brazilian currency compared to the Canadian dollar, (1

Real equals 0,26 Canadian Dollars), the gross income of both of my parents cannot in any way
cover the tuition of four years plus living costs. The support given by the need-based award
will surely make it possible for me to study at my dream school as my family has saved some
money to pay for the majority of the course and since I will be able to work in Canada and earn
a salary in Canadian Dollars without having to worry about paying for expenses, since I will
save the money to pay for future tutions and living costs.

However, if I am not granted the award I will sadly not be able to attend the University of
Toronto in the year of 2023-2024. I intend to continue to pursue a path to study at U of T in
the future, as this is something I really want to do.
