JUSTIFICATION

I wish to apply for DR. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam scholarship2019-20. I believe that my
excellent academic records and my family income make me a good candidate for
this scholarship. Throughout high school I maintained a high level of academic
achievements while doing extra-curricular activities and working as school captain
in JNV.

I graduated from University of Delhi in 2017, secured 77.20%. Not only was I
involved with academic and extra-curricular activities; I also gave tuition to the
11th and 12th class students of commerce 18-20 hours a week to manage my
college and living expenses. Even after completed my graduation I didn’t have
enough money for further education, I started some more tuitions to save some
money for further studies and after one year of that, now I am in Jamia Millia
Islamia University pursuing, M.com (Business Management). I secured 8.6 SGPA
in 1st semester and 9.0 SGPA in 2nd semester. I qualified for NET in DEC 2018 in my
first attempt and I am preparing hard to qualify JRF. To serve the nation, I want to
be a professor in a reputed central university like Jamia, DU, BHU or JNU etc. and
want to contribute in the area of education that’s why I am also working on a
research paper so that I can get admission in PhD in Jamia itself or in any other
central University.

I belong to EWS category. My family income is 1, 20,000 per year only and my
elder brother (graduated from JMI) is preparing for GATE and for jobs in PSUs and
he also needs money from my parents. So it is quite hard for my parents to
manage family and our studies at the same time, and I never want to be a burden
on them. I deserve this scholarship; In fact I’ll say I need this scholarship to
continue my studies. So please consider me for this scholarship I shall be very
thankful to you for this act of kind.
