Essay (Motivation Letter) to get VDMS Scholarship

Essay writing entitled "Why Do I Eligible to Get a Scholarship" intends to fulfill one of the VDMS
scholarship requirements for Semarang State University 2023. My name is Saefudin Umar born in
Kebumen on October 8 2003 to be precise. I am the 2nd child of 2 brothers, my brother me, my sister
and my sister work in an online shop, my father's job is a farm laborer whose income is not fixed,
sometimes Rp. working part-time as a chip maker whose income is meager. Once I wanted to pay for
UKT at college, my parents couldn't afford it and borrowed money from relatives and even the
monthly fee was only for one day's meal. even then it is not enough with the cost of other pendudung.
My mother also decided to borrow money from neighbors to help pay for my college needs.
I come from Kebumen Regency, precisely in Pekunden village, Kutowinangun sub-district, and I
currently live in a boarding house where I studied at Semarang State University (UNNES) with the
Department of Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering Education Study Program. My
educational history started from SDN Pekunden in 2010-2016 continued to Middle School (SMP)
Negeri 1 Kutowinangun in 2016-2019 and continued in 2019 to SMK Negeri 2 Kebumen, after
graduating 2022 I continued my studies at Semarang State University until now with the Mechanical
Engineering Department of the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program.
When I was in elementary school, I took part in the Quiz at the sub-district level and got 2nd (second)
rank. And also took part in the District-level Elementary Science Olympiad and won the Hope-level
champion. During junior high school, I even took part in several competitions held by the sub-rayon
and even the district. , but I also have aspirations to become an educational worker.I have also
participated in a in SMK competition, namely mathematical competence and won the hope winner.
Besides that, at graduation I got first place in the English test held by the school. The experience of
the organization that I am currently participating in is the Kebumen Regional Organization (Imake
UNNES).
The economic difficulties that make it very difficult for parents are because they only rely on existing
income and are not enough to meet their daily needs. When you want to pay UKT and boarding fees,
your parents borrow money from neighbors and even relatives to pay for it.
Currently I am a 2nd semester UNNES student and currently conducting lectures. The reason I chose
the Mechanical Engineering major, in my opinion, is that the prospects for graduates with a Bachelor
of Education majoring in Mechanical Engineering, especially the Automotive Engineering Education
Study Program, are very broad and can be used in various fields, both in industry and in institutions
and as educators, and if it's hard to get a permanent job, you can. starting their own business and
submitting applications to BUMN, in other words being able to work in BUMN. And making
Automotive Businesses such as Vehicle Service and applying the entrepreneurship courses that we
have received at Semarang State University. And if there is a civil servant application, I can become a
teacher to become the best educator and continue the Noble Task of my mother as a teacher.
And if I am selected I will use this scholarship as well as possible to support my process to become a
scholar. However, I feel that I still lack the value I got and will continue to strive to be able to further
improve my achievements in the future and be useful for the Environment, family as well as the
Nation and Country. If I am selected, this is God's plan for me to study harder, and if I am not
selected, this is also God's plan for me to look ahead and achieve my goal of becoming a Bachelor's
degree and increasing my GPA every semester. Because every step of our life has been arranged by
God and I promise to be a guide for young people to always seek identity and say that Education is a
Tool to Fight Poverty,
As a student currently taking a study program at a tertiary institution in Indonesia, I am very
interested in applying for a VDMS scholarship. I really believe that this scholarship will help me
complete my education and also prepare myself for a better future. I feel lucky to be able to study
science at this college, however, as a child from an underprivileged family, education costs are a very
burdensome thing. I really understand how important education is in building the future for me and
my family. Therefore, I would like to apply for a VDMS scholarship as a solution to overcome
financial problems in education. I am very impressed with the VDMS scholarship program which
provides opportunities for students who excel and need tuition fees. In addition, VDMS also provides
various training and self-development programs which are very useful for my future. I have various
activities off campus such as participating in student organizations, social activities and also
participating in several trainings. This proves that I am very passionate and dedicated to gaining
useful experience and skills for my future. I am very confident that by getting a VDMS scholarship, I
will be able to focus on academics and more productive activities. Apart from that, I will also be able
to explore various opportunities and enhance the skills that I will need for my later career. In
conclusion, I am very excited to apply for the VDMS scholarship. I believe that I am qualified to
receive this scholarship and I hope that I will be given the opportunity to prove my dedication and
