Scholarship Essay for MSc finance and Management

My name is Hetvi Manish Madia. I am a student at Ghanshyamdas Saraf

college completing a bachelor degree in financial markets (BFM), from
MUMBAI university. My educational aspiration is to excelling in subject which
have practical applications in the real world has been my forte since school and
I found it in my subject i.e finance. This is my opinion, that has been due to my
natural ability to grasp things rather than memorizing or mugging up things. As
well-rounded student who is committed to excellence, I wish to have the best
possible chance for a bright future. I have applied myself throughout high
school and even in college taking challenging classes that encourage me to
think on a higher level and prepare me for rigorous college for my masters.
Therefore, I believe that knowledge I received from my academic studies and
work experience and other experience will be extremely useful for my Masters
of Finance and Management at the United-kingdom.
Growing up in a humble family. I was imbued with the courage to fight any
challenges head in, from the very beginning. This courage led me to extensively
participate in curricular and extracurricular activities like college fest, collab
collab of self-finance course competition etc, which altogether helped me to
hone my knowledge. I’m going to graduate in my bachelors of commerce
(financial markets) with flying colors with one year of Professional work
experience as an assistant financial accountant. In which I worked on filing
data entry, recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records,
preparing financial reports, and maintaining other important documents. The
majority of company’s work was carried out on Micro Soft Excel, I have 3 years
of handsome experience on MS-excel so the task was quite easy for me.
However, there are some rough edges as well in my professional
accomplishments that a master’s degree can smooth out and MSc Finance and
management from well-known university of UK is obvious choice for carrying
forward and transferring this graduate level knowledge to further advance
levels and mastering fields. This university is not just a regular university which
just focuses on granting students degrees on the basis of their respective
academics Performance rather, it ensures that each student of this university
gains a holistic experience in terms of academics, extracurricular activities and
also experiences its culture within its premises. I that’s why primarily chose
this university for its course structure and its execution.
This Scholarship will simplify my path to reach my career goals. I have always
harboured this dream to study abroad in reputed university but since belong to
middle-class family, it would not be not possible without taking either a hefty
student loan or receiving a scholarship on basis of my merits. My family and I
worked hard and saved up for my education abroad, but with the cost of
tuition, my part-time jobs and family’s saving have not been enough. Further, I
wish to focus entirely on studies. This scholarship will help me by lowering my
costs of college and would also give me motivation to work harder to prove my
mettle. With the help of this scholarship, I am certain that I will continue to
keep my academic record moving in an upward trajectory and bring laurels to
university by participating in students-led activities.
To be recognized as an alumnus of the University is a matter of pride for
students worldwide, and added satisfaction. I have tried to use social media
platforms to connect with people on LinkedIn and interact with university’s
students all across the world in order to know more about culture and
curriculum related to the program. I hope to be the part of community and this
scholarship will be the feather on my hat. I have all skills for me to be worthy
candidate for this scholarship and my academics and career activities are
conclusive. I possess to perseverance to pursue my chosen field. As a
scholarship holder, also hope to act as university’s ambassador in student
community to represent the university on a global scale. I cannot wait to be a
part of the cohort of this excellent institution.
Till date, I have demonstrated that, given an opportunity I will leave no stone
unturned and will reap best possible results. Given an opportunity, I will
represent the university internationally and bring many laurels to its name.
