My Study Plan

Dear Immigration Officer,

My name is XXXXXX nao, Mexico, Pampanga. I am married with XXXXXXX years old. We have two sons,
our eldest XXXXX 15 years old and our youngest is XXXXXXX 13 years old.

In addition, I have graduated Bachelor of Science in Home Economics at Pampanga Agriculutural College,
Magalang, Pampanga on April 7, 2000. After graduation I attended my review for licensure examination
for teacher and took the test that year and luckily passed the examination. In the same year I applied to
Department of Education (formerly Department of Education Culture and Sports) and hired as a
substitute teacher for four months and got permanent last September 16, 2002. Then I pursue my
Master’s Degree on 2003 but stopped on 2005 due to my marriage and got busy taking care of my
children. But I continued it on 2012 and graduated on the same year.

Moreover, after I finished my Post Graduate degree a lot of opportunities in my work opens for me.
From teacher I, I was promoted to teacher III because I was over qualified in teacher II position. Then
from teacher III I was promoted as Head Teacher I, next to Head Teacher III because I was also over
qualified for Head Teacher II position. I believe that continuous education will boost my career more.
That is why I decided to continue my study in Canada I think that quality education in this country will
help me gain knowledge and skills that I can impart to the teachers I handle at work in the Philippines.

Likewise, the nature of my work for 13 years is a Secondary Public School Teacher which I enjoyed much.
Then was promoted as a Head Teacher for 6 years now wherein instead of handling secondary school
students I shift on handling teachers. As a head teacher I have a lot of duties and responsibilities but I
will only mentioned the most important one. First, being the Head Teacher of two Departments
(Technology and Livelihood Education and Senior High School) is a tough job. I need more knowledge
and skills in Critical Thinking, Communication Skills and Research skills because I am handling people.
Which I think I can develop and acquire in continuous studying in different environment like Canada.
Second, as the Senior High school Focal Person, I am assisting the Senior High School Teachers in
organizing and implementing “Work Immersion for students” wherein we visit and coordinate with our
Stake holders and partner industries for them to cater our students. In here I believe that I still need to
enhance my persuasive skills to convince more public and private stake holders to accept and give
chances to our students. I positively believe that I can learn more of these skills in exposing myself in a
multi-culture country like Canada. Third, I am also the school registrar wherein I encode students grades
and data, I receive and release request SF10 or students records and at times I take calls from Employers
from other country like middle east and USA verifying students records. In this case I think I need more
communication skills and electronic data management skills which I can gain in advance education
system of Canada.

Lastly, more of my job now is in office work. I do documentation of different school activities, I encode
data needed by the school, I develop department-based training and do department teleconferences. I
think my knowledge and skills in these filled is not enough. That is why I decided to enroll in Office-
Administration-General, as I research on the subject content of the course I know it can contribute much
to my present task at work in the Philippines and it can add with my qualification for promotion for
higher position.

Furthermore, the school I have choose is Niagara College Canada. First, because of its reputation of
being number 1 college in the country in terms of applied education. Second,it is a globally accredited
program. Third, their student support service is beneficial. Lastly, is the location it very practical on my
part because it is near the house of my sister I law where we will stay. I have admitted to this school for
winter 2022.

In addition, I want to study in Canada because I can benefit from the excellent education system that
encourages cross-disciplinary studies and development of transferable skills. Another is that Canada is a
country known in a low crime rate and second safest country in the world.

However, in terms of financial support we are lucky enough that my brother-in-law June Mandani paid
my tuition fee for the first semester and promise to pay also the second semester which is the spring
term. Then my sister-in-law in Canada offer their house for us to stay but we need to provide our food
and other personal expenses.

I am planning to return to my post as soon I finish my course because I am just going on a sabbatical
leave. Also, my parents and siblings are waiting for us especially my father who is a dialysis patient.
Another is that we only ask my sister to take charge of our business, house and cars while I am studying
outside the country.

As an international student, I have researched on rules and responsibilities that studying abroad entails.
I am fully aware of the regulations and the consequences of my actions during my stay.

Sincerely yours,

XXXXX
