Faculty Development
A training was organized through HEC & BRITISH COUNCIL for all the faculty members of different
universities in further improving concepts regarding reviewing the proposals for competitive
grants held in Karachi.

Joint venture of Industry and Academia

Today First practical hybrid meeting was arranged and conducted in relation to Industry
Academia collaboration. The meeting was attended by experts from Dow university of health
sciences , University of health Sciences Lahore, Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology
Karachi, ,SZABIST Karachi, Alson PVT Ltd , ZX Shifa PVT Ltd ,Robo PVT Ltd , Saman-E-Shifa
Foundation moderated / sponsored by SSF five projects were initiated and finalized for R&D and
manufacturing through joint venture of Industry and Academia. Fahad Akbar attended it as SSUET
BMED representative.

Orientation session for Final Year Project of Biomedical Sciences.

An orientation session about final year projects was arranged by the incharge of Biomedical
Sciences Program Associate Proff Dr. Darakshan in department of Biomedical Engineering to
discuss and enlighten the students about the market needs and their FYPs. The speaker Associate
Proff Dr. Bushra Jabeen Mehdi shared the information and answered the queries of the students.

Alumni Meet Up at Dubai

Ex Pats and Alumni of Biomedical Engineering Department SSUET gathered over a scrumptious
dinner and discussed about the future demands of the field of Biomedical Engineering.

External Supervisor
Dr. Bushra Jabeen was invited as the external supervisor to examine the MPhil student of
Department of Biochemistry University of Karachi.
Motivational Talk By Samad Abbas
A motivational talk was arranged by the department of BMED SSUET on the topic “Make it
happen Make it matter” by a well know speaker Mr. Samad Abbas. IT was a 3 hr long session
which was attended by students and faculty of all departments. A highly enthusiastic speaker
kept the spirit up and his words made an everlasting impression on students as well.

Examination Fall 2022

Examination to conclude the semester of Fall 2022 were held in the span of 2 weeks, students’
participation was almost 90-95% and strict surveillance was observed to minimize the use of
unfair means, to maximize the learning ability of students so that merit can be easily maintained.

Final Year Project of Batch 2019

We could highlight the potential and excellent engineering skill of the future engineers during
the submission of final year projects by the Batch 2019 later this February. They will surely be the
value addition in market of Biomedical Engineering.

New from the Post Graduate Department

Engr Fahad successfully cleared the progress viva of his Phd in Biomedical Engineering. He is being
supervised by Engr. Dr. Suhaib Masroor.

Engr. Sania Tanvir Successfully cleared her Comprehensive Exam in PhD Biomedical Engineering.
Now she will be rewarded the Phd Candidacy. Her supervisor is Dr. Sidra Abid Syed.

Alumni Success Story

Engineer. Masood Asghar Kamali belongs to Intellectual and Educationist family. He Graduated(B.S) in
Bio-Medical Engineering from the Sir Syed University Of Engineering and technology and Post graduate
Masters in Public Administration(M.P.A). He Keep his knowledge and literary work continues like his
ancestors like Professor.Dr.Allah Buksh Kamali a great Aligarian Gold Medalist His book on the topic is
unique one”. Maqalaat-e-Abdul Hameed Kamali from Majlis-e-Taraqi Adab, Lahore, October 2015. . For
the students of Islam he has written very useful and thought provoking articles. He was also titled as
Roshan Sitara by Madam Dr.Anwar Jahan Burney from U.S.A,a great educationist D/O Prof.Shareef ul
Hasan Burney Aligarian. Recently, Kamali attended the Guest Speaker sessions conducted at SSUET (under

the supervision of guidance centre) at welcoming / addressing sessions of new entrants and lecture
delivered on Aligarh movement and role of students.
