Training and Placement cell of Government College of Arts and Science (GCAS) Androth
organized a Talk Series, Session 01: “Improving Student’s Emotional intelligence” on January
07, 2023 in the college seminar hall. The talk series focus on holistic approaches for GCAS
Androth student wellbeing. The programme started with a welcome address by Ms. Asoora
Beebi MP, V Semester BA Political Science. Introduction of the talk series was given by Dr.
Rekha Govindan, Coordinator, T&P cell, GCAS Androth. She highlighted the need of
enhancing wellness in GCAS Student community. Introduction of the speaker was given by
Mr. Ansar Ahmad, V Semester BCom.
The distinguished speaker Dr. Majduddeen AL Jalaliya, PP, Principal, GCAS Androth, UT of
Lakshadweep highlighted balancing mind power over other activities. He elaborated on
focusing student mind on studies and exam preparations for the forthcoming end semester
examinations. The speaker emphasized students on being empathetic. The speaker
expressed his gratitude for the T&P cell team for giving an opportunity to organize an
invited talk on a theme, relevant to student need.
Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Nizamuddin, V Semester BA Political Science. The student
representatives of T&P cell, GCAS Androth Ms. Nafiya Sulthana, V Semester BSc
Aquaculture, Ms. Nafiya Shukoor, V Semester BSc Aquaculture and Ms. Aslamiya, V
Semester BCom felicitated the distinguished speaker. HODs, faculties and final year students
of GCAS Androth attended the talk session.
Training and Placement cell of GCAS Androth, under the patronship of Shri Harshit Saini, DC
cum CEO (Androth and Kalpeni islands) provide a platform for the placement and
internships for its students. The training and placement cell empower students to identify
their career goals and enable them to challenge the present day competitive, skilled and
employable job sectors.
