I had a hard tıme choosıng words , ı thought ıf ıt would match the sentence ın terms of meanıng. It
was dıffıcult for me to translate some sentencences because of words.

There were too many percent parts. it was so difficult for me . I had some difficulty in combining
sentences due to numbers and got help from the dictionary.

The speaker used quotation sentences in the text. He supports the text with other people's
sentences.

There were too many economic terms and information. This caused me to look at a lot of dictionary.
Also idioms were used. I usually skipped some idioms and used their close meanings in my
translation.
3- Where there any parts you have omitted?

Yes, there were parts that I skipped sometimes. I used the known general meanings of some
economic words instead of or in place of idioms in my translation.

“This is noise; not signal. The economy is not falling into recession,”

Sustaining that growth into 2022 will require an easing in clogged supply chains and some resolution
in Ukraine, both of which will face pressures from higher interest rates from not just the Fed but also
global central banks that are engaged in a similar struggle against inflation.

Clogged supply chaıns: ı took clogged word mean [ I used the meaning of obstructed in the sense of
clogged. [ ENGEL OLMAK]

4- Which approaches did you use the most (Domestication or Foreignization)

I used foreıgnazatıon method . Because ı wanted to preserve the essence of the source text
convey ıt ıs ıdeology and remaın faıthful to the source structurally whıle translatıng. I dıdnt want to
spoıl the essence of the source text by goıng out of ıts meanıng .

Bond is turkish language the mean of tahvil.

I used domestıcatıon method but there were no cultural values ın source text. I just trıed to
reflect my own language somewhere.

5- Sometimes, it is useful to paraphrase your understanding of a concept if translation


does not seem natural? Have used paraphrasing strategy?
I used paraphrase strategy because I focused mainly on numerical data, general quotations,
colloquialism, and economic terms.
