Mission Statement: “Commit people, capital, and ideas to help our clients, shareholders,
and the communities we serve to grow”
Here the statement has 2 components:
a) Bringing capital, people, and ideas together.
b) Improving the lives of its customers
Goldman Sachs recognizes the importance of understanding and designing products and
services that meet customer needs. It operates in segments such as investment management,
institutional client services, banking, investment, and lending. To succeed in these areas,
Goldman Sachs focuses on matching the right team of experts with the right systems.

Vision statement: “Establishment of investment and financial freedom for all.” 


Components of vision
1. Core Ideology

a) Core purpose: For Goldman Sachs, financial freedom for all is the central and core
mantra for them.
At Goldman Sachs, we use our expertise to give each client the utmost attention
and understand their needs. The firm then selects the most appropriate approach
to steer the client's or institution's business in the direction of desired growth.
b) Core values: Here, Teamwork, Integrity, Customer First, Innovation, and Excellence
make up the core values for Goldman Sachs.

2. Envisional Future
a) BHAG: For Goldman Sachs, BHAG (Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal) is to move from
financial inclusion to financial freedom for every person in this world, bringing
investments and people together for better.
b) Vivid description: Goldman Sachs has not described the steps to reach their goals.
Tesla
Mission Statement: “To accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.”
The "To Accelerate" component of its mission statement defines Tesla's role in driving the
industry towards advanced technologies and products for sustainable lifestyles and
businesses. This acceleration means that one of the company's goals is not only to meet
existing demand but also to increase market demand for sustainable energy solutions.
Tesla's mission statement refers to the "world transition" to denote the global market which is
also referenced in the company's vision. The third element represents the nature of the
business, including various products such as Electric vehicles, battery or energy storage
solutions, solar panels, and related systems.
The “Sustainable Energy” part provides perspective on the potential for future expansion and
diversification of the business.

Vision Statement: “To create the most compelling car company of the 21st century by
driving the world’s transition to electric vehicles.”
1. Core Ideology
a) Core purpose: Here the core purpose of Tesla is to provide innovative modes of
car transport for everyone.
b) Core values: “Doing one’s best, taking risks, being respectful, learning, and being
environmentally responsible. " are the core values prevalent in Tesla’s work
culture.
2. Envisional future
a) BHAG: The audacious goal of Tesla is to create a car company that will transition
the world to Electric vehicles in next 50 years.
