PREAMBLE :
We are all aware that Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) plays a predominant role in sustainability of industries
across the country. In erstwhile East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts, there are so many industries and
underground pipelines which handle highly flammable, toxic and corrosive chemicals like LPG, Ammonia, Chlorine,
Natural Gas, Hexane, Methanol, Toluene, Acetone, Hydro Chloric Acid, Sulphuric Acid etc,. The handling of these
chemicals is very tough as safe handling of these chemicals depends on dedicated protocols with regard to their
respective flammable nature, corrosive, toxic or explosive nature etc. Permit to work system and occupational health
surveillance play key role in prevention of industrial accidents which may sometimes cause the impact beyond the
boundaries of industries resulting into off site emergencies. Usage of right Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a
particular job decreases the impact on human in case of accidents. Hence, it is need of the hour to build Occupational
Health & Safety Culture in industries to overcome all such untoward incidents. The OHS Culture has to be across the
organization at all levels, all functions including the activities like Life Cycle of Raw Material to Product supply to
customer or Health Monitoring of Employees or in Contract Operations and infusing confidence among stakeholders.
OHS Culture is a Top Management driven Concept, can only be, nurtured, and developed. It is to be sustained for
enhanced and consistent OHS Performance.

In order to focus above practical and successful concept, one day workshop is being organized. Experienced Industrial Representatives and Specialists in the
