Announcement for those planning to take the entrance examination for

the Master's Program in Medical Sciences

An online examination option will be offered for prospective applicants living

outside Japan who are unable to take the examination in person because of
pandemic-related border restrictions. Before applying, please be sure to check
your communication environment, as described below. If you have already
completed the application procedures, please perform this check by
Wednesday, 30 June. Be sure to check the communication environment at the
same place where you plan to take the examination.

1. Confirmation of communication environment

1-1) Enter your name, e-mail address, country, and state/province of residence
at the URL below.

1-2) After entering your information, a login ID and password will be
automatically sent to the email address you provided. Please enter the login ID
and password to log in to the following site to confirm your communication
environment.
https://sikaku-uketuke.jp/basic/sikaku/pdxdemo/kj_users/login
1-3) Select "Click here" according to the screen.
1-4) When the "Communication Status Confirmation" screen appears, click the
"Measure" button. The measurement result will be displayed after about 30
seconds.
1-5) If the measurement result shows a "green" icon, the communication
environment is acceptable. Please input the measurement result at the following
URL.

1-6) If an icon other than "green" appears, the communication environment is
unacceptable. Please check again after the communication environment has
been adjusted. After that, when the "green" icon is displayed, enter the
measurement result from the URL described in 1-5).
This completes the communication environment check.

2. Equipment to prepare before the day of the exam

The following equipment is required for the online exam. Please note that you
will not be able to take the exam if you lack the following equipment.

• Personal computer with a camera (Windows or Mac OS is acceptable;
tablet computers are not acceptable)
o Acceptable web browsers: Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge,
Mozilla Firefox; Safari and Internet Explorer are not acceptable
• Smartphone with camera (Android and IOS are acceptable)
• A stand to hold your smartphone in place
• Charging cables for PC and smartphone
• Printer

Communication environment
• Internet connection

On the day of the exam, a reliable internet connection is necessary. To avoid

connection interruptions and other unforeseen circumstances, we recommend
that you use a wired LAN connection for your computer. If a wired LAN is not
available and a wireless network is used, please connect at a location with a
strong signal. If your smartphone has communication restrictions, please
disable them on the day of the exam.
