Simple Present
We use Simple Present to express the idea that an action is repeated or usual. The
action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that
often happens.

Subject + verb + complement

I play soccer every Sunday.


She reads an interesting book in the morning.

Present Continuous
We use Present Continuous to show that an ongoing action is happening now,
either at the moment of speech or now in a larger sense.

Simple Past
We use Simple Past to talk about a completed action in a time before now.

Present Perfect
We use Present Perfect to show that an action has taken place once or many times
before now. The present perfect is most frequently used to talk about
experiences or changes that have taken place.
