RimatriX: Efficiency

High quality&efficiency components

Generously sized heat exchangers

…make Ri-Matrix line one of the most efficient chiller

in the market
RimatriX: inverter pump
Inverter pump:
Available in all RimatriX range
Variable speed managed by its own inverter with two pressure transducers for
pressure drop measuring.
RimatriX: inverter pump
• always constant available pressure to the user.
• in case of variation on user’s side (# of LCP) or in the
chiller circuit (free-cooling) the pump is self-modulating
to keep constant the pressure available.
• on specific cases, available the management with
constant waterflow.

Customer’s benefit: pump speed reduction energy saving

Consumes only what is needed

Inverter Pump
(normally used in IT Projects)
RimatriX: Free-cooling
 Integrated Free-cooling section allowing to take advantage of
low outdoor air temperatures in the water cooling process in
order to save energy, by avoiding compressor operation

RimatriX: Free-cooling
 Integrated Freecooling section allowing to take advantage of low
outdoor air temperatures in the water cooling process in order to
save energy, by avoiding compressor operation
 Greatest benefits: IT & Industrial applications

 Lower annual energy consumption

 Reduced space requirements
 Reduction of compressors’ working hours
 Higher reliability
 Safe operation at extremely low temperatures (e.g. -25/-30°C)
RimatriX: remote Free-cooling
 When more external space is available, to further exploit free-
cooling capacity, SK3232 can be matched with an external
free-cooler, for energy saving up to 60%!
RimatriX: Key Benefits
High efficiency: Low operating cost
 EER>2,2 (around 3 for above 50kW range)
 Inverter pump
 Free-cooling in all the capacity range
Safety working and redundancy:
 Two refrigerant circuits / 2,3,4 compressors
 Two redundant pumps
 Chiller team-work up to 8 connected together
 Double power supply
 Emergency module
RimatriX: Redundancy & safety
2 independent
refrigerant circuits
(2 or more
compressors)

2 pumps
(one working; one std-by)
RimatriX: Teamwork

The standard sotware can manage up to 8 chillers working together:

in case of fault in one of them, the std-by is automatically switched-on
RimatriX: Teamwork
RimatriX: Redundancy & safety
In case of missing power supply from the net, pump and control can be
powered by an external source –UPS.
The power switch from the net to UPS is authomatically managed
RimatriX: technology and components
Preventation of fouling with the use of RiFrost

Chiller systems are only suitable for the cooling of a water/glycol

mixture. As well as protecting against frost, this cooling medium also
serves to inhibit bacterial growth and provide optimum corrosion
protection.

• regulary check the level in the cooling

medium tank, measure the glykol content with
a refractometer.
•Completly replace the cooling medium once a
year.

(1) For heavy-duty installation environments (abundant oil suspended in the

air…) split the intervention periods in half.
