(40% of the final grade)

 Essay question, based upon the course work and personal analysis
 A paper copy of the paper has to be handed in in class
 The paper has to be posted on Courses
 4 to 5 pages (double space) plus sources. Police : Times new roman (12)

URKUND
 What is URKUND?
o It analyses the percentage of plagiarism of the paper by detecting the
similarities in three different sources: internet, publications, and previous
papers
 The consequences of plagiarism on the grade
o Above 10% of plagiarism, the grade out of 20 will decrease by the same rate
than the percentage of plagiarism
o Example: 25% = -5 points 30% = - 6 points etc….
 The paper has to be written under Word format or PDF
 If the paper is not posted on Courses, it will be considered as having a high rate
of plagiarism (50%).

 quality and interest of analysis
 capacity to use what was learned in class
 capacity to show the course contribution to personal vision of French civilization
 Use of references and sources
 factual accuracy
 other items deemed appropriate by the professor
 Wikipedia is not a source!
