(J.

Steward) The Cultural Ecology Theory focuses on how cultural practices and
beliefs affect humans in adapting to their environments and live within the means
of their ecosystem. It interprets cultural practices in terms of their long-term
role in helping humans adapt to the environment. Cultural Ecology uses the
environmental pressures as a tool for cultural change. This simply means that
humans can adapt to the changes of their environment most especially when it is
threatened. It means that the protection of the environment and the restoration of
culture should coexist in the plan of making a better advancement.
