FIBERGLASS PLENUM DIFFUSERS
Series L-ED1 Perforated Ceiling Diffusers
with fiberglass plenums are designed to
provide economical, efficient, draft-free air
distribution in ceiling applications where a
plenum vapor barrier and on-site neck
sizing is desirable.
These diffusers are available for use in
standard 24” x 24” T-bar lay –in ceiling
grids only. Both diffusers feature a 1” thick
plenum of molded fiberglass with an
external layer of aluminum foil. The
plenum composition makes them light,
economical to ship, and easy to handle
and install.
Four air pattern controllers are centrally
pivoted to the inside of the face. Each
pattern controller can be rotated 360° to
achieve 1, 2, 3 or 4-way air pattern
selectability even after the diffuser is
installed.
The Series L-ED1 PERFORATED Ceiling
Diffuser can be used as a return unit with
or without the air pattern control disc. The
Return matches the appearance of the
perforated Ceiling Diffuser but is supplied
without air pattern controllers.
PERFORMANCE: The L-ED1 and
Perforated Ceiling Diffusers are
recommended for heating, cooling and
ventilating applications in constant and
variable volume system. They are suitable
for use in residential,

commercial and industrial buildings,
performing effectively with air loadings of
1 to 3 CFM per square foot of floor area or
6 to 18 air changes per hour.
CONSTRUCTION: The one-piece,
molded plenum is constructed of
fiberglass material externally wrapped in
aluminum foil, it is factory scored to accept
6”8”10”12”14” tab lock collard or spin - in
type fittings available for use with these
standard sizes of flex -duct. The plenum is
tested in accordance with ASTM E84 and
has a flame spread rating of 0-25 and a
smoke developed rating of 0-50
perforated Ceiling Diffuser air pattern
control disc is made of black permeated
vinyl. A layer of transparent bonding
material holds the disc securely onto the
diffuser´s steel perforated face Four air
pattern controllers on Models are centrally
pivoted with nylon pins to the inside
surface of the pace panel. The perforated
face is hinged on one side and locked into
place on the opposite side with two
concealed spring latches. The face is
made of sheet steel with 3/16”diameter
holes on ¼ staggered centers.
FINISH: The inside surface of the
Perforated Ceiling Diffusers´ fiberglass
plenum is black. The perforated face
painted off-white.

L-PC – CL. Perforated Ceiling
Diffusers combine the versatility of
adjustable and reversible curved
blade air pattern controllers with the
economical durability of steel or
aluminum construction. Available in
standard 24” x 24” face size only,
Models 7600-6 and 7650-6 are
suitable for T-bar lay-in ceiling grids;
all models feature plenum and neck
construction of coated steel.
Additionally, diffusers can be
specified with nominal round 6”, 8”,
10”, 12” and 14” diameters. Diffuser
features square nock sizes from 6” x
6” to 16” x 16” in two inch increments.
These diffusers feature a removable
perforated face. A choice of five
different air pattern controllers with
individually adjustable and reversible
curved blades are available from the
factory to provide all popular
directional air diffusion patterns and
horizontal to vertical air pattern
adjustability. A 4-way pattern is
easily field adjusted from

without removing screws on all round
neck diffusers.

25°F cooling temperature
differential.

2, 3, or 4-way air pattern.
FINISH: Plenum interior, perforated
face and outer frame of the diffuser
are painted off-white.
