    The palace of Versailles was the residence of the antique French monarchy
    From Louis XIV to Louis XVI, it provided Europe with a model of the ideal
    royal residence for over a century.

    The palace was habituated from Louis XIV to Louis XVI, only 2 generations of the French
    monarchy, but why only 2? The palace could have been habituated If only for the Affair of
    the Diamond necklace
