THE BENEFITS AND DRAWBACKS OF SPORTS

Currently, most people play at least one sport, and maybe you too. If you want
to continue doing it, you must know what good and bad things practicing a sport bring
you. When you see several people playing their favorite sport, you think they are
enjoying it to the fullest. However, that doesn't always happen. While sports may look
on the surface, trouble lurks below. In this essay, I’m going to describe the benefits
and drawbacks of sports.
The most important benefits of playing any sport are improving your
overall health and reducing stress. An elementary factor to enjoy good health is to
keep ourselves in good shape through different sports. Since humans need a certain
minimum amount of exercise to stay mentally and physically healthy, I think it's a great
benefit to everyone. Hence, if you currently do not exercise enough, playing sports
could also significantly improve your overall health and that’s why the prevalence of the
practice of physical activity and sports has been high in recent years. Secondly, many
people feel stressed since they have to work quite long hours and for that reason,
when they play sports with their friends or family, they can release the stress they feel.
Sport can help you as it gives you a good opportunity to disconnect from your stressful
daily life and recharge your batteries.
On the other hand, we have injuries and time-consuming as examples of
the drawbacks of playing various sports. Unfortunately, injuries belong to the
territory of most common sports, and people who play a sport may have long-term
damage to their knees and other parts of the body. Their life could change temporarily
or permanently once they have a minor or serious injury. Therefore, everyone should
be careful in every physical activity they do. In this way, wherever they exercise, they
will take precautions to avoid danger. Many sports athletes suffer from serious injuries
during their careers and some of them even have to quit their sport sooner or later due
to those injuries. Although this is the biggest drawback in sports, it’s not the only one,
so it’s pertinent to mention the hours people spend practicing some sports. If you want
to get good at your sport, you will also have to invest plenty of time and while you work
or study, the day goes by too fast that you no longer have time to train.
In conclusion, playing sports is a long topic, but it’s relevant to consider
every detail of the sports we practice because entering and staying in the world
of sports is complicated. Keep in mind that the shift begins with something simple,
but it's not easy.
