1. Why is art important in shaping one’s life and society?

In various forms, art may have a significant impact on how people live their lives and how

society works. A society's cultural ideals and ideas are frequently reflected through art. It is capable

of helping in shaping one's views and ideals while also assisting one in better understanding one's

own. Another way that art can be utilized to promote social change is to question cultural

conventions. People can learn to comprehend and empathize with points of view and emotions that

are unique from their own through art. This can promote improved communication and teamwork

among individuals and social networks.

Art may inspire people to look beyond the box and come up with new and inventive ideas.

This can result in technological, scientific, and other advances that benefit society as a whole. Art

can also be a great way for people to express themselves and explore their own identities. This can

assist people in better understanding themselves and their place in society, leading to greater

personal fulfillment and pleasure. Overall, art has the capacity to shape how people live and how

society functions by reflecting and molding cultural values, encouraging empathy and

understanding, motivating innovation and creativity, and giving a means of self-expression.

2. How art relates to the environment in your own community?

Currently, I am residing in Pasig City, like many urban areas, our community faces

significant environmental challenges, such as air and water pollution, waste management, and

urban sprawl. Art can play a role in addressing some of these challenges in the various ways. Art
can help raise awareness about environmental issues in Pasig City, such as pollution and waste

management, and encourage people to take action to address these issues. Art can also promote

sustainable practices in Pasig City by highlighting the importance of conserving resources,

reducing waste, and using renewable energy sources.

Art can help engage the community in environmental efforts by providing a platform for

community members to express their ideas and concerns about the environment in Pasig City. Art

can help create green spaces in Pasig City by incorporating natural elements, such as plants and

water features, into public art installations and designs. As an architecture student, I admire what

my community offers in terms of changing our environment for the future generations. There is a

reason why our city is called the Green City as our community tries to address various struggles

for our environment.
