1. A body of mass 100g moving with a velocity of 10.0m/s collides with a wall.

If
after the collision, it moves with a velocity of 2.0m/s in the opposite direction,
calculate the change in momentum
2. A car of mass 6 x 108kg moving with a velocity of 100.0m/s collides with a truck
of mass 2.5 x 1012kg moving in opposite direction with a velocity of 150m/s. After
the collision the two vehicles coalesce and move in the same direction. Calculate
(i) The momentum of the car before collision.
(ii) The momentum of the truck before collision.
(iii) The velocity of the composite body.
3. A uniform rod 8m long weighing 5kg is supported horizontal by two vertical
parallel strings at P and Q, and at distance of 2m, and 6m from one end. Weights
of 1kg, 1.5kg and 2kg are attached at distance of 1m, 5m and 7m respectively
from the same end. Find the tension in each vertical string.
