Last March 29,2023, CMDI celebrated the Women’s Month, in line with this is the
Women’s Month 2023 Talk Series or Sitcom with the topic “Safe in Tech, Innovation and
Cyberspace”

Dra. Jen Casano is also one of the speakers during the talk series, as a psychologist
and Mental Health Advocate, she shares a lot of learnings and important information that
is very needed by the students in our generation.

The most important line that I remember during the talk is when she said “ Once
you experience something off about your partner or friends, leave them” I was a little
confused when she said it that time but when she started to elaborate it, I realized that it is
true. Why? It is because once you let them control you and get you in an uncomfortable
scenario, it’ll lead to a battered partner and when it starts that way, it’ll end up as a
battered wife or husband.

I also love when she answer the questions about sending suggestive photos to your
partner, she said that “Kung nagpapasend sayo ng ganon, iwan mo” simple as that,
because why would that person blackmail you or want you to send those photos if in the
first place, that person loves you.
