Movement of Construction Equipment

Contractor is concerned with the increasing number of incidents


involving movement of vehicles / equipment on the project. All
movement of construction equipment on the project shall be
assisted by a competent flagman / signal man / spotter as per
procedures to avoid any untoward incidents.
Any non-compliance in future shall be treated as a blatant disregard
of safe working procedures and shall incur corrective/disciplinary
action as per the Project’s Safety procedure.

9Comply to the speed limit


9If you are operating a Heavy goods
vehicle or Construction equipment – a
“spotter” is mandatory.
9If you cannot see your signalman/spotter-
stop! Proceed only when the sight of your
signalman/spotter is re-established.
9If you cannot see behind the
vehicle and do not have a spotter,
leave the cab and check the area
behind the vehicle before
reversing.
9When reversing a vehicle in the
vicinity of other workers or in a
