Attention Cadets!

Today is our asynchronous class.

Your activity is to read/understand the Garbage Record Book Guidelines and fill-up the garbage record
book form properly.

Scenario: You are underway from Long Beach to San Diego and you need to dispose your garbage at sea.
The garbage bins dimensions located at the garbage collection points are as follows:

as follows:

04/02/2023- All your bins have a ¾ garbage inside.

Position 1: 33 ° 35.3´N 118 ° 13.0´ W. Distance to the nearest land is 7 nautical miles

04/03/2023- All your bins have a ½ garbage inside.

Position 2: 33 ° 18.0´N 118 ° 06.0´ W. Distance to the nearest land is 15 nautical miles

04/04/2023- All your bins have a ¼ garbage inside.

Position 3: 32 ° 37.1´N 117 ° 14.0´ W. Distance to the nearest land is 25 nautical miles
04/05/2023- All your garbage bins are full of garbage inside.

Position 4: 32 ° 38.0´N 117 ° 13.4´ W. Distance to the nearest land is 2 nautical miles

Instructions:

1. Consult the table for the proper disposable of garbage.


2. Calculate the correct quantity in m3 and record it in accordance to garbage category.
3. Prohibited garbage for sea disposal shall be recorded in shore facilities column.
4. Sign each day activity
5. Deadline of submission will be today @2359H.
