OJT CULMINATION-SUMMER 2021 RATIONALE

On-the-job training (OJT) programs are course requirements providing an opportunity to


apply the theories, principles and ideas learned in the academe under supervision. These
training programs expose the students to work realities which will ideally hone their skills
and prepare them once they get out of the university or college.

In view thereof, it’s vital that strategic agreements between the academe and the
government as well as the academe and private companies should be undertaken, focusing
on the creation of clear objectives, clear expectations, establish methods of learning
verification and effective monitoring.
Academic institutions are faced with challenges particularly on the skills they produced
which do not match the needs of the industry. It has now become even more challenging
brought about by the pandemic. NDDU-CEAT however was able to address this challenge
by providing its students Online alternatives and other equivalent activities. This just goes to
show that we can be able to innovate if we put our hearts and minds to our goals and
objectives.

Today marks the Culmination of the OJT Program. Let us participate in this momentous online
event that features the talents and sharing of experiences of the students and of course the key
point messages of their distinguished coaches. Let me end my rationale with a quote by Eddie
Harris Jr. "It takes a dream to get started, desire to keep going and determination to finish."
